Shaman King is an anime about Shamans who are known to connect our world to the world of the spirits. The story started when Manta Oyamada, a simple middle school student from Tokyo, met Yoh Asakura in a graveyard having fun with his 'friends'. Yoh then tells Manta that he is a shaman.
Yoh then becomes friend with Manta and teamed up with the Spirit of the most feared Samurai, Amidamaru. Yoh encounters Ren Tao, another shaman who threatens to destroy the humans and declared that he is the one appropriate for the title Shaman King.
Anna Kyouyama then showed up announcing that she is Yoh's fiance and thus, she should train him for the upcomming Shaman Tournament that is held every 500 years. The winner of this said tournament shall be declared as Shaman King. It is said to be that the winner of this Tournament can do what he wish and can acquire the Great Spirits.
Journeying to be the Shaman king, our protagonist meets different kinds of Shaman who became he's friends and rivals.

Yay! I love this anime. It makes me go nostalgic! Yay! This is one of the first animes I've watched. I can remember myself acting like a shaman with my friends and acting as if we are in a Shaman Tournament lol.
